Synopsis
„A world without prisons" - that is the revolutionary goal of TRUST, a new rehabilitation program in the city of Rheinstadt. Under the direction of expert Petra Schach, the TRUST program promises to provide released prisoners with jobs, housing, and therapy. The motto is: resolve their problems, rather than locking them away. Some see this as a blow to the victims, others as a social utopia. From the perspective of participants, opponents, social workers, and politicians, A BETTER PLACE tells the story of a city without prisons.
